Community Impact Grants
SECU and the SECU MD Foundation are providing $1,000,000 in community impact grants over the next five years, benefitting Maryland nonprofits devoted to helping others in support of health, education and development initiatives across the state.
The grants are in memory of Donald Tynes, Sr. who served on SECU’s Board of Directors for more than 47 years. He played an important role in the credit union’s growth and development through his dedication and passion for public service. The SECU MD Foundation is working with the following grant recipients to establish how the funds will be used across each organization. From supporting the Fine Arts department at Morgan State University, to the Cancer Center at Sinai and food trucks with the Maryland Food Bank, we look forward to providing support to each impact area that Donald Tynes Sr. was also committed to supporting.
